The Youth Leadership Foundation, Inc., Youth Leadership Conferences at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL in May and a second conference held at Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) in Melbourne, FL in July are two of the Military Order of the World War (MOWW) (MOWW) Multi-Day Youth Leadership Conferences. These conferences are designed to give students unique opportunities to participate in discussion exchanges with authoritative, experienced, and articulate spokes-persons from the military services, government, industry and the academic community. The Conferences are designed to encourage participants to think about what kind of country he or she lives in, what opportunities are available to them, who they are, and where they are going in the future. Patriotic education, leadership development experiences, and teaching responsible citizenship are the focus. Currently, more than 19,000 high school sophomore and junior students participate each year in these conferences.

The Objectives of the MOWW Youth Leadership Conferences include:

• Identify the basic elements of leadership needed in the maintenance of a free society.
• Identify the basic concepts of the free enterprise systems and the foundation upon which this nation was built.
• Develop an awareness of those special aspects of leadership applicable to our national institutions.
• Develop leadership skill to enable students attending conferences to become citizens and the future leaders of their community and our country.
